Having been brought up in a deeply religious family, Kevin Goins began his musical career in Gospel with Gary Shider's father's band the Sons of Emmanuel at the age of 12 but along with his brother Glenn, continued to sing gospel all his life. Glenn used to call in the mothership during PFunk's heyday to the old gospel song Swing Down.

The album features Kevin's unique voice in rare form that has made not only his surviving family extremely proud (his mother Jesse Mae always dreamed of her sons recording a gospel album) but has an unbelievable similarity to his brother Glenn's voice in its powerful delivery.
